Welcome to Summer Reading!

Beginning Monday, June 10, 2019, all ages can register in person at Reading Mission Control to join the summer reading club. Launch your reading journey with free programs and a galaxy of learning fun!

Independent readers, including teens, are Reading Rocketeers and pilot through the reading galaxy earning activity pages and coupon incentives.  Children who are not yet reading independently are Lunar Listeners in the Read-to-Me Club. Four hours of shared reading and listening earn a Congratulations Packet which includes coupon rewards, Certificate of Participation, and End-of-Summer Party Invitation.

Murrysville Community Library Children's Programs

Drop-in programs below do not require registration.

Come and hang out at the Library on Monday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This unstructured drop-in play time offers both kids and grown-ups an opportunity to mingle with others and make new friends. A few early learning items will be available to encourage imaginative play. Feel free to bring coffee for you, snacks for your child, and toys to share. Expand your social network and have fun too!

Children are invited to read aloud to therapy dogs on the second Friday of each month from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Our therapy dogs and their owners encourage children to read at their own pace in a relaxed and non-judgmental environment. Click here for the 2019 schedule.

Pokémon League has returned. Watch the website for upcoming dates. Come to the Murrysville Pokémon League; bring your Pokémon trading cards to play and trade. If you're new to the game, come ready to learn. Your friends are welcome and admission is free.
