In-Person Appointments

Appointment Procedure:

Beginning Monday, August 3 the Murrysville Community Library will begin offering in-person appointments.  Appointments can be made by calling us at 724-327-1102.  Appointments will last for thirty minutes.  During that time patrons can browse our offered materials, use computers, print, and check items in and out.  Staff members will provide patrons with a five minute warning before their appointment time is up.  We kindly ask patrons to leave at the time their appointment is scheduled to end.

Appointments FAQ:

Q: How can I schedule an appointment?

A: Please call the Library at 724-327-1102 between the hours of 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Monday-Saturday to schedule an appointment. Appointments begin on Monday, August 3. Please remember to bring your library card!

 

Q: How much time do I have to use the Library?

A: Appointments are for 30 minutes.

 

Q: Can I schedule back-to-back appointments?

A: No.

 

Q: How will I enter the building?

A: Please call the Library at 724-327-1102 and let staff know you have arrived. A staff member will escort you into the building.

 

Q: Can I use the public computers?

A: Yes! Computer usage will be limited to 30 minutes. Computers will be sanitized between uses. Public headphones will not be available. If you need sound, please bring your own headphones/earbuds. If you do not have your own, the Library has a supply of disposable earbuds for purchase. The price is $2 and are yours to keep.

 

Q: Will masks be required?

A: For the safety of our patrons and our staff, the Library will be observing CDC guidelines and following any mandates by the state of Pennsylvania. Therefore, all individuals entering the Library must wear a face covering that covers the individual’s mouth and nose unless they have a medical condition that impedes their ability to wear a face covering. Children two years of age and under are not required to wear a face covering. For those that cannot wear a face covering due to a medical condition, we will offer the following accommodations: use of a Library provided face shield or a curbside appointment.

 

Q: Will the Library follow social distancing guidelines?

A: Yes! We take the health of our patrons and staff very seriously. All individuals who enter the Library will be required to maintain six feet of space between other patrons and staff. Plexiglass shields have been installed at the circulation desk.  Hand sanitizer dispensers have been installed around the Library for use. We ask that all patrons use hand sanitizer upon entering and upon existing the Library.

 

Q: Will curbside still be offered?

A: Yes! We will continue to offer curbside appointments for the foreseeable future. Curbside hours are from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Monday-Saturday.

 

Q: Will the public restrooms be available?

A: The public restrooms will not be available. Please take this into consideration before entering the Library.

 

Q: Will the book drop remain open for returns?

A: Yes, please exclusively use the book drop for returns. Returned items will not be accepted at the circulation desk.

*If you are returning a Launchpad or a Wonderbook, please contact the Library at 724-327-1102 for a scheduled return.

 

Q: Are returned items being quarantined?

A: All returned items are quarantined for a minimum of 72 hours.
