The Murrysville Community Library continues to make steady progress on the Adult & Teen Room renovation, a project designed to create a more modern, flexible, and welcoming space for adult and teen patrons, especially for studying, remote work, online learning, and other broadband-related needs.
In recent weeks, major interior updates have been taking shape. New carpeting has been installed in the renovation area, and patrons may notice new wood laminate/LVT flooring near the circulation desk as part of the flooring improvements. Recent work has also included the construction of the metal frames for the quiet study rooms.

As construction continues, the Library is preparing for the next phase of the project, which will take us into March, 2026: bringing in and placing new furniture, installing and finalizing updated shelving, and then beginning the detailed work of shifting and re-shelving the collection so materials are accurate, accessible, and easy to browse when the space reopens. We appreciate the community’s patience and support as we work toward reopening a refreshed Adult & Teen Room built for comfort, privacy, and everyday use. We are so excited to show you all the final results! Stay tuned!
