The Murrysville Community Library will be closed to the public on Thursday, January 29, and Friday, January 30, while crews install new flooring near the library’s circulation desk.
The closure comes as the library continues work on its Adult & Teen Room renovation to enable and promote broadband services in the community. Behind the scenes, crews have been working hard to install new carpeting in the main library, prep the space for new computers, and reposition the shelves. The Murrysville Community Library is grateful to the community for its continued patience and support as work moves forward.
Library programs are continuing with minimal interruption. Some programs are held in the Conference Room, while others take place off-site depending on space needs. Patrons are encouraged to check the library’s calendar of events for the latest schedule and locations.
Many popular materials remain available during construction. Conference Room #2 serves as a temporary browsing area featuring adult new books, large print, daily newspapers, fiction DVDs, young adult new books, WIRC books, and young adult graphic novels. Staff at the Circulation Desk are available to help patrons find what they need.
This project was financed in part by a grant from the U.S. Department of the Treasury, under the administration of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority. Updates and event information are available on our website and on MCL social media.
